Mon appareil favori, un Horizont (Горизонт) de la marque Sovietique KMZ

Un OVNI à première vue, mais il existe en fait plusieurs appareils de ce type à objectif rotatif, soit en format 35mm comme ici ou bien 120.  De tous, le Horizont est le plus abordable, on en trouve entre 100 et 250 euro sur ebay.

Le support de la pellicule forme un arc de cercle qui est balayé par l'image formée par l'objectif qui se déplace de gauche à droite lors du déclenchement .
Un seul défaut : il y a souvent une fuite de lumière sur la première partie de la photo, voir plus bas, cela semble être commun a tout les Horizont, une technique que j'adopte est de bricoler un petit cache en forme de bandelette en carton ou plastique pour cacher l'objectif et de la retirer 1 seconde avant de prendre la photo et de le remettre de-suite après.

Photos prisent avec une pellicule Fujichrome, traitement croisé au labo Auchan. D'ailleurs je sais maintenant ou je vais amener tout mes films couleurs et diapo, à 2,90 euro le développement C41 seul et 5,80 le développement E6 avec mise sous support diapo, c'est certainement les moins cher de Marseille...

Svema 100, expired in 2002, with a Praktica FX9 and Helios 44m 4

Here is a try with an old Ukrainian Svema film, Svema 100 expired in 2002, it supposed to be one of the last Svema batch but the legend say that they might still producing films, well i have to investigate :-)

I used my old Praktica FX9 SLR, a chest level viewfinder camera, with an helios 44m-4.

Certo SL110, 24x24 frame with expired Orwo film

Here a new message about a great old eastern German camera i just got last mounth from Ebay : Certo SL110, very cheap 80's style, all plastic but quit solid and very cool looking

The particularity of it is that it doesn't use normal 35mm film but SL Cassette which is the communist version of the Agfa Rapid system, an old discountinued format of film. Actualy you can use SL cassette in an Agfa Rapid camera and vice versa.
Not realy easy to find but easier than agfa Rapid films...Only Orwo, the former Eastern German film plant produced them untill the late 80's, only black and white films were available, I've got many of them , first i thought it was normal 35mm ORWO films and got very surprised when i open the box the load my Praktica FX3. So, to use this stock of film films i had to buy that Certo SL camera........


What is cool about this Certo SL110 is that it shoot 24x24 mm pictures, with a 12 exposures film you can get 16 exposures!
Here are the results :

 

Orwo NP22 film, expired in 1992, i'm suprised with the quality of this film, despite the age and the unknow conditions of storage it didn't loose speed, i could shoot it at EI 100-120, the box speed is iso 125.

I used an old Kinax 620 format folding camera, i had to cut around the 120 spool to make it to fit in, on some shot you can some light leak on the side, probably due by too much of cutting....

After few try with Mikrat 200 film i finaly found the best dev time : Rodinal 100:1, 18 min, 3 invertions in the begining then 1 every 4 minute.
This film was made by Tasma (Soviet Union) in 1979, it is an orthochromatic film, originaly 200 iso but now in 2013 it went down to iso 6.
